You can search the food database, create your own foods, or simply photograph your meal using the AI Meal Scanner. Calories and macronutrients are then filled in automatically and compared against your daily target.

How accurate is the AI Meal Scanner?

The scanner uses the Google Gemini API and recognises common meals with high accuracy. Nutritional and calorie values are explicitly estimates and may deviate. If you have allergies or intolerances you must always verify ingredients yourself — do not rely on the app for that.

What is NutriScout?

NutriScout is the AI search by property rather than by product name — for example “high protein” or “low carb”. Matching results can be added straight to your shopping list. NutriScout is unlimited from the Pro plan upwards.

Which AI features exist and in which plan?

Accepted Answer

There are seven: ACE, AI Meal Scanner, AI food search, AI recipes (Smart Chef), AI nutrition plan, Ryvion AI and NutriScout. All of them can be tried in every plan — with a one-time trial allowance per feature in Free and Pro, and without limits in Ultra. The one exception is ACE: the adaptive training plan is reserved for Ultra.

How do the trial allowances work?

In Free and Pro each AI feature comes with a one-time allowance so you can try it at no extra cost. Once it is used up, the feature stays locked until you move to Ultra. In Ultra the AI features are unlimited; ACE there has a fair weekly allowance that renews automatically.

Question 6

What happens to the photos I send to the AI?

Photos and free text you submit to AI features are transmitted to the AI provider solely to generate the response and are not stored by us. We do not keep chat histories server-side. Transmission is pseudonymised — no name, no email address, no user ID.
